Latest Picture: Sakura Yabusame
The colour and spectacle of Sakura Yabusame, a mounted archery festival open to female competitors held every April at Towada City in Japan when the cherry blossom is in full bloom. This modern adaptation of an ancient martial art has grown in popularity since it’s introduction in the early 2000’s, drawing large crowds of visitors from across Japan and the rest of the world.
